HMC College Scholarship

1. Any student aged 17-25 and who is a regular attender of Hope Missionary Church is eligible. Applicants must have been a regular attender of Hope Student Ministries’ regular gatherings (Life Builders, Quizzing, Midweek) to be eligible.

2. Application must be made by the first Sunday in March for the fall semester or the whole school year and the first Sunday in November for the spring semester by the applicant. Application must be submitted yearly (or for up to 8 semesters) to the church office. Applicants will be notified of awarded funds via email.

3. Student must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at Bethel University (for a maximum of $500.00 per semester) or be enrolled in an undergraduate program at another evangelical Christian college whose doctrine is consistent with that of the Missionary Church (for a maximum of $250.00 per semester). See below for current list of approved colleges. Applications to evangelical Christian colleges not previously approved will be subject to church board review and authorization.

4. Students must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and maintain a GPA above 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Transcripts from the previous two semesters must be submitted by the application deadline for students who are reapplying to be considered.

For students enrolling with BUx (Bethel University Extension):

• Student must be enrolled in BUx to receive a scholarship of $150 per semester or $300 for a full year.
• Student must meet HMC’s regular attendance status, educational requirements, and will need to reapply each school year.

5. Students reapplying for the scholarship need to indicate a church that they are regularly attending while in school.

6. The Associate Pastor of Students is responsible for administering this scholarship.
