Ministries – Middle School
Hope’s ministry to middle school students is called “RISE,” and we exist to know Jesus and each other, grow with our Lord and with one another, and go into our world with this mission in our lives! RISE serves students in grades six, seven, and eight, with adult leaders to shepherd and connect with them in different capacities.
Our two main meetings each week follow this schedule:
- Sunday 9:30 am – Middle school students meet in their typical respective classrooms along the sides of the Student Chapel. We strongly recommend students (and leaders) to wear masks as soon as they’re in the building, moving around, until they’re in their respective classrooms.
- Wednesday 7:00 pm– The RISE midweek meeting is what you might expect when someone says “youth group.” Lots of live music, fun games, solid teaching and a small group interaction to keep everything moving for these dynamic young people. Currently, GUYS start the evening in the Gym and join the girls upstairs for worship and a lesson after a game and small group time. Similarly, the GIRLS start upstairs in the Student Chapel.
These young adults are part of a VERY active group, as RISE is rarely still for long. Outside of the regular weekly meetings, our student ministry keeps students hopping with all sorts of special events… some strictly fun, and some with a more growth-oriented tone. In all of them, though, you’re guaranteed to find carefully chosen adult volunteers who are excited about investing in the lives of teenagers!
